How To Make Pani Puri (Tanzania)

Pani Puri – This amazing snack originates from India but is slowly becoming a very popular street food in Tanzania. If you have never tried it, you certainly should because it’s simply delicious.

1 cup semolina
1½ tbsp wheat flour
A pinch of salt
Oil for deep frying

Additional Ingredient:-
Spiced water made from mint and coriander leaves with lemon

In a bowl mix, semolina, wheat flour and salt.
Add aerated water to this mixture and knead a dough. Keep aside for 10 minutes covered in a damp cloth.
Take a small portion of the dough and make round balls and flatten them with your palm.
Grease the rolling platform with oil and roll the puris with a rolling pin.
Heat oil and deep fry the puris until they puff up and are golden brown in colour.
Pani Puri Puri is ready to eat!
